Exploratory

As a new college student, you have many decisions to make and so many programs to choose from. At times, this can feel daunting. Especially when asked, in your very first quarter, to choose a program of study and degree path. Perhaps you do not know yet what you wish to study and perhaps you want to study everything. The Exploratory Pathway is for you! During your first 15-30 credits, you will take College 101: Strengthening Navigational Skills. This course will prepare you for success in college by finding a sense of place, understanding the plethora of resources available to you as a Highline Student, teaching your best practices for college success, exploring degree/career pathways, and understanding and employing your strengths for your college career and beyond. In addition, you can choose from a variety of transferable courses representing various pathways that also support our Associate of Arts Direct Transfer degree, accepted by most Washington State 4-year programs.
