Make an Advising Appointment
Advisors are people trained to help you get started at Highline, choose courses and connect with resources. The type of advisor you meet with depends on how many credits you have and what program(s) you are in.
If you are in one of these programs, visit their website to learn how to make an appointment: International Student Programs, Running Start, TRiO, MESA, Promise Scholars and Umoja. Athletes should contact their Athletics advisor.
If you’re not in one of those programs, use the menu below to find the right advisor for you.
An Entry Advisor can help you with:
- Applying to Highline
- Activating Highline accounts
- English and math placement
- Transferring in credit
- Attending Orientation
- Exploring funding options
- Choosing a degree/program
If you haven’t already, fill out the Get Started! Survey to set up an appointment. Email Entry Advising at entryadvising@highline.edu or call (206) 592-3620 if you need help.
If you already have a degree and want to apply to an Applied Bachelor’s (BAS) program, you can also get help by scheduling a meeting with Dr. Tanya Powers, Associate Dean for BAS and Workforce Pathways.
If you have 0-30 credits, the type of advisor you meet with depends on what program you are in.
In these programs, students start meeting with faculty advisors before completing 30 credits:
- Accounting
