The BAS Respiratory Care program allows for emphasis in those areas along with advanced level courses in critical care, pediatrics, disease management and critical thinking development.

A student earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Respiratory Care will be able to:
- Perform tasks and skills necessary for fulfilling the role of an entry level respiratory care practitioner with advanced knowledge in adult critical care, neonatal/pediatric care and disease management.
- Demonstrate ethical respiratory care practices for decision making in the delivery of patient care.
- Provide care that is culturally responsive by considering and respecting multiple dimensions of human diversity.
- Practice team collaboration, leadership, and management skills in healthcare settings.
